The National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenian Commission on Large Dams (SLOCOLD), Union of Associations of Civil Engineers and Technicians of Slovenia (ZDGITS), and Faculty of Civil Engineering of University of Ljubljana (UL FGG) organised on January 30, 2020 a thematic workshop to highlight the importance of water retention for the environment and society, especially in the light of climate change and the need to provide both water quantities for human needs and to maintain adequate habitat conservation conditions in the 21st Century.
