Slovenian partners of the SAFETY4TMF Project – Coordinated prevention and disaster management activities on Tailings Management Facilities by authorities, municipalities and other stakeholders for solutions reducing transnational risks and hazards organized 1st Slovenian stakeholder roundtable was organized online on June 21, at 10.00 AM online.

Overall objective of SAFETY4TMF is to  enhances the prevention, preparedness and disaster management activities of potential transnational risks related to Tailings Management Facilities in the Danube River Basin, via developing, testing and spreading applicable modelling, spatial planning, monitoring and coordination solutions, with special focus on improved local, national and macro-regional policies and optimised cooperation of multi-level governance actors, including authorities, municipalities and other stakeholders.

Slovenian partners on the project are University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering and Slovenian national building and civil engineering institute. An associated strategic partner on the project is also Firefighting Association of Slovenia.

The aim of organized workshop in a format of a round table was the presentation of the project activities to the Slovenian stakeholders in the are of TMFs and discussion and mapping of the current status in Slovenia and possibilities for enhancing the capacity building. The projects last for 30 months and during the duration of the project additional trainings. Workshops, and roundtables will be organized.
