The ICL-UNESCO KLC2020 Memorial Conference was organized by the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on December 3-4, 2025, in Salle VIII, Place de Fontenoy Building, UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, France.
Wha a Memorial Conference in year 2025? – since it is the final year of the Sendai Landslide Partnerships 2015-2025 and the Fifth year of the Kyoto Landslide Commitment 2020 for Global Promotion of Understanding and Reducing Landslide Disaster Risk. Both initiatives are a Commitment to the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals, the New Urban Agenda and the Paris Climate Agreement.
