Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, was recently recognized by the Global Promotion Committee of the International Programme on Landslides (IPL) as the World Centre of Excellence (WCoE) on Landslide Disaster Risk Reduction for the period 2020 – 2023.
The recognition was announced during the Recognition and Awards Ceremony on 3 November 2021, during the first day of the 5th World Landslide Forum in Kyoto, Japan.

This is the fifth time that UL FGG was recognized as the WCoE on Landslide Disaster Risk Reduction (2008-2011, 2011-2014, 2014-2017, 2012-2020 & 2020-2023). UL FGG is herewith contributing to the Kyoto Landslide Commitment 2020 (KLC2020) for Global Promotion of Understanding and Reducing Landslide Disaster Risk until 2030 and beyond.
