Being a member of the UNESCO Water Family, we received an information that IHP have launched a call for proposals of river basins for the Hydrology for the Environment, Life and Policy (HELP) Initiative, open from 1 June to 31 August 2025. The HELP initiative has established a global network of catchments to improve the links between hydrology and the needs of society.
Within the framework of UNESCO IHP-IX (2022-2029) “Science for a Water Secure World in a Changing Environment”, the Hydrology for the Environment, Life and Policy (HELP) has been reintroduced as UNESCO’s Flagship Initiative and a member of the UNESCO Water Family.
UNESCO IHP with the support of the Dundee Centre for Water Law, Policy & Science (under the auspices of UNESCO) as a host for the HELP Flagship Initiative are reactivating the HELP Basin Network. We welcome all UNESCO Water Family to join this HELP 2.0 Network and work together for achieving Water Security.
This call is opened to the entire UNESCO Water Family, Member States, professional experts, institutional partners and organizations working on water and river basin management and governance to renew their existing HELP Basins or to propose a new HELP Basin in their country.
