The International Consortium on Landslides, Kyoto, Japan, organised the 6th World Landslide Forum in Florence, Italy, on November 14-17, 2023.
The Forum was a successful event, attracting more than 1200 participants form 69 countries, offering 55 sessions. The UNESCO Chair on Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction was involved into the Forum’s Scientific Committee, chairing sessions “1.1 International Programme on Landslides and Global and International Activities for KLC2020” and “1.4 Landslides and Society: Cultural, Educational, Ethical, and Social Aspects in sustainable Landslide Risk Reduction“, and the High-level Panel Discussion “ “KLC2020 Review and way forward”“, as well as contributing to the scientific programme by oral presentation and e-abstracts.
